Been Too Long, but Thank Goodness They Needed Pinch-hitters
For yuletide this year, I totally forgot to sign up. But the good news is, I totally got to pinch-hit once dsudis reminded me that I forgot to sign up.
So, for jae_w, I wrote Jane's Addiction, which is a really hokey title, but since I was having the thing beta'd by dsudis on Christmas Eve, on IM, on the fly, while simultaneously wrapping presents, with less than 30 minutes 'til the deadline... it's the best title I could come up with. It's also not quite the detailed and lengthy story I wanted to write; I have a lot of thoughts about Jane and Charlie and Joanie. These were only some of them, and this fic is a pale reflection of my inner vision. But it will do... it does a couple things right, to my way of thinking. And it also does that thing fic does, where it shakes loose my creative juice for a while.
Oh, yes, and jae_w also wrote Deadwood: Solace, which is quite excellent.
And also, shoshannagold wrote Real Love Stories Never Have Endings, which feels like a part of the movie Playing By Heart, and which I love eversomuch. I read a lot of good stuff this Yuletide, but this one stayed with me after the browser window closed.
In other news, I'm making Prison Break vids that will likely never see the light of day. Hey, it's a good way to waste time and frustrate myself!
