Got in my first car accident today. Was driving on a part of the freeway that always gets backed up/stop-and-go ish. I was going slow, but I thought I heard my phone ring so I looked down and didn't see the person in front of me stop.. and... boom. Luckily she was in an SUV, so my little Corolla didn't do much damage. Just some minor paint scratches on her back bumper.. but no dents or anything. My car, however, needs the front bumper replaced and possibly the hood too. The hood's got a little buckle on either side that might be able to be hammered back out again. The bumper's torn a bit in a few places, has a small dent on one side, and some small paint scraches all over. It could have been a lot worse. And both myself and the other driver were fine. Thank God.

Fixing her car should be easy. Fixing mine... well... I'll have to get some estimates tomorrow/Thursday. I'll wait 'till then to decide if I want to claim it to my insurance or not. The other driver said she was fine doing it either way... since she was fine and the damage to her car was so minor.

Just when I started saving some money up again... and now this happens. Great. Even if I do claim it to insurance and they cover the bulk, my rate will probably go up. And it's already rediculously high because of living in LA.

I dread going to sleep tonight. I just know I'm going to have bad dreams. Either from feeling bad that it happened, or worried about how much the repairs will cost.

I just feel so stupid. So, so, so stupid.
