Weekend Update

Ok chickadees... here's the scoop.

Wednesday left work early and flew up to see Anth. LAX was a NIGHTMARE, but the airport I flew out of (Burbank) was an absolute breeze. Not even a line at security! Was sooooooooooooooo happy to see Anth. Though I almost didn't recognize him as he pulled up to pick me up- he'd gotten a haircut and didn't tell me! I was expecting him and his usual puff of hair but it was all clean/close cropped this time!

Thursday we slept in a bit and then drove down to Danville to his uncle's house. We got there late, but it was OK as his dad hadn't gotten there yet either. Had an absolutely lovely time with his family. It was his uncle and his family (wife and his 16yo son), his aunt, his dad, his dad's girlfriend, and the two of us. I felt totally part of the family. Especially when his dad started teasing me and I was zinging him right back. And all of them kept making references to us getting married someday. Very cute. :) We left around 7:30 and drove the whole 5 hours home.

Friday mom made a Thanksgiving feast at our house. We hung out and watched TV and played board games and ate the whole day. Then around 7:30 one of my oldest friends who's going to school back east called and said that she was in town and was going to another of our friend's houses for dinner/drinks and wanted to know if we wanted to meet up. So Anth, good sport that he is, came with me and we met up with them at a fancy Beverly Hills hotel. We were still full from the feast but we split an appetizer and had drinks while they had drinks (and drinks and drinks) and dinner and more drinks. Anth was great and didn't drink so I could. And I'd only intended to have one (especially after I saw my drink was $14!) but then Mikey (one of my friends) wouldn't stop buying them! I ended up having 3 Cosmos and a shot called a blowjob (which I failed to drink properly- out of Anths crotch using only my mouth- because I couldn't fit my mouth around the glass)... I couldn't even tell you how much they drank, though. Mikey bought the whole damn thing, though. ($279!!!) It was fun... but I'd love to do it again when none of us have to drive anywhere so we can all drink and not worry about being too loud or having to drive later.

Saturday we met a family friend to go so For Your Consideration. For any of you not in Hollywood who see it and think "Geez! Is that what Hollywood's reall like!?"... Yes. Yes it is. It's satyrical, obviously, but it's pretty damn accurate. It's funny, but I still think Best in Show is Guest's best work so far. Later that night Anth and I went to see Happy Feet. I LOVED IT!!! So cute and the music was great and the animation was truly stunning in some scenes. Then we went to Tower Records (in the same mall as the theater) for their close-out sale. (I can't believe they're closing, btw.) Bought 1 DVD and 2 CDs for $40. Not too bad.

Yesterday went to church and sang with my choir and then came home and cuddled as much as I could with Anth before he had to leave. Then met up with my dad and he took me to a screening of The Prestige. I'd already seen the movie, but then there was a Q&A with Christian Bale afterwards. He was really nice but very quiet and very serious. And, of course, he's gorgeous. Cool to see him, though. I'd met him a loooong time ago so it was cool to see him years later with a lot more career under his belt.

And now... I'm back at work. And have just found out that I'll be out of a job again as of December 15. So now I don't know what to do... stay here or try to move on or what? Shit. I wasn't expecting to have to figure this out so soon.
