Okay, so I was having this discussion about religion, the Bible, and homosexuality, namely the Bible claiming that homosexuality is an abomination and all that jazz, and this was my response. Please let me know what you think, because I think I'm pretty fucking right:
What it comes down to is that no one can actually prove that the Bible, or any other "holy book" for that matter, is actually the word of God. No one knows what God, if there even is one, truly thinks or feels or believes (if he/she/it even does these things in the way that we understand them) so it's illogical to use the Bible as a means of discrimination. It may say that homosexuality is an abomination, and the fundamentalists may believe it with all of their heart, but that doesn't make it 100% true. End of story.
