A friend was driving me home tonight. He had to make a quick phone conversation before arriving at his girlfriend's house. He called and said hi, that he was about to drop a friend off and then head to bed and wake up early and take care of things. I guess the person on the other end asked him for specifics because he started to reply things like:
A friends house.
In tampa.
Just a place to stay because I have to be up very early and it's very late, and this friend lives close by.
No I can't come over, I'm really broke and I have things to do in the morning.
Yeah just a friend of mine.
Etc etc etc.

I confronted him after the conversation. Asked him why he wouldn't just be honest, tell the girl he was dropping me off and then heading to his girlfriend's house. He started excusing blah blah blah the girl is crazy and no he is not fooling around with her and yes she knows he has a girlfriend.

This shit really irritates me. He's either lying to me or her. Because if there's nothing going on and she knows, why is he beating around the bush. But if he's trying to set something else up, why tell stories to me?

ARGH! I guess this just really gets under my skin, because one of my biggest pet peeves of my last girlfriend was her total ambiguity in similar circumstances. Situations where you know the person is hiding something. God I hate players and liars.

Why can't people just be honest? If you don't want a monogamous relationship, why not just explain that? And if the person can't handle that, why waste time? doesn't it just end poorly?

I really hate this bullshit.

And no, this person isn't anyone any of you who may be reading this knows.
