On The Road Again . . .
Soon. Ten days and counting. Then my girlfriend and I get to spend a whole week together! It's been six very long years, so, yeah, pretty excited. And oh my god, so much to DO before then. This weekend will be spent gardening, definitely, which means Monday thru Wednesday will be spent in agony, but hey, it's worth it (I think). Cleaned up my email account today, then, since I was in a cleaning mood, changed my LJ account around. I realized I'd never added any pics from the Xmas vacation to Paradise Island. Then I realized I don't have them on my computer. lol. Still, I found one, which I've made my default pic for now - it's of the "Bath" pool at the Atlantis Hotel where we stayed. No idea why it was called "Bath pool", 'cause it was bloody cold (so, very unbathlike), and I've been to Bath in England, and I don't see any resemblance there either. Go figure. Still, it was HUGE. The entire complex was huge. But, it didn't seem to make it cold or impersonal. I can't really think of anything negative to say about it, except that the food was outrageously expensive. Next Christmas while I'm shivering in the cold here, this trip will just be a memory, but omg, what a memory!
On a different note, I got skype, and I love it! Video calls with my daughter who's down in Pennsylvania! Yay! She was very excited because a TV crew came and was filming them (apparently someone's attention was caught when they saw skeletons being dug up on campus!). lol. They were, but they were all part of the class. What is it with my kids and dead bodies? My son had to post signs this past semester when he was filming a college project, because the script called for one character to carry a body wrapped in a bloody sheet out to a field, and bury it. Apparently people take exception to such things. lol.
