I'm been off LJ for awhile; well, off my whole computer really. I loaned it to hubby because it's the only computer in the house that has a particular program he needed to use. I thought it would just be a one-night loaner, but it turned into a 5-night loaner. Grrr ( Read more... )

Copy the program over to your husband's machine. That's unacceptable! ;)

Ouch... $20k/semester. Umm... NO! It sounds like a convoluted process. GRRR!

I'm watching DA as the episodes air on PBS. I thought the scenes with Cora's mom and the Dowager Countess were great. Especially when Cora's mom serenaded Violet. I laughed so hard. How improper! *giggles* But I have to say that there weren't enough scenes with the two of them.

We're on Season 4 now. I swear I hated Donna with a passion when we first saw her in Runaway Bride. I still don't like her. We just finished the Adipose episode last week, so he's found her again. Ian, my youngest, calls her "the crazy lady." I am not sure if I am going to like her. Tennant's performance is so manic anyway, it really takes a lot of energy to watch him. Then when the Doctor is with Donna, I just feel worn out afterwards. Maybe it gets better... hopefully. But I am over David Tennant and really want to move on the Matt Smith years! I really liked Ten early on with Rose and I really liked Martha, but I didn't feel that Ten treated her very well and I am glad she basically told him off when she left him. It's probably an unpopular decision, but there you have it.

Oh yes, you have to hop on the Matt Smith train! I liked David Tenant a lot when he was #10, but it hasn't stopped me from liking Matt Smith just as much. I think Donna grows on you over time. For me, that year was a relief from the #10/Rose, #10/Martha romantic storylines which always seemed like they were destined to go nowhere. I once saw a comedy sketch with Catherine Tait playing an English class student and David Tenant playing her substitute teacher which had me in tears I was laughing so much. A lot of comedy combined with a lot of DW references; made me realize what an amazing comic actress Catherine Tait really is. (if I can find it, I'll post a link) The fact that she did so well with the dramatic parts of DW just impressed me more.
