Glad That's Done

Went for some tests yesterday. They used sedation, and supposedly put an amnesiac in the sedative, but if so, it didn't work very well because I have very clear (and unpleasant) memories. However, the tests were necessary, and hopefully soon they'll be able to figure out why my hemoglobin and iron counts continue to bottom out

Well think of it this way, your mayor can never compare to DC's former mayor Marion Barry. Now there is a complete waste of space for you. And even after his stint in the pokey, DC elected him AGAIN. I think he still serves on the DC council. Unbelievable. Glad I don't live in DC proper!

Dear god that is a lot of money! Yes, the entire cast, but still... they know people will pay it. Mere mortals will have to pass though.

Oh! What a great idea for dinner... Jacket potatoes. Of course, my kids don't eat potatoes unless they are in fries or chips formats... well that's not entirely true... the youngest likes roasted potatoes with garlic, rosemary, and olive oil in the oven. Still, the eldest loves chili. I'd be interested in your chili recipe, if you are willing to share.

I still need to catch up with the latest episodes of Torchwood (Showtime). Of course, Netflix doesn't stream them, so I am a going to have to buy them. Have I mentioned my deep seeded hate for Netflix. Unfortunately, I can't quit it. There are too many other shows I am dependent on it for. Damn them! ;)

I wish I had more eps of Torchwood to watch. At this point it doesn't look good for a season 5 (unfortunately). I wish our Netflix was better; I've tried it a couple of times, but the movies they had were all B movies; none of the really popular movies. On the flip side, it did carry some older British series which I enjoyed, but until they get better movies, I'm giving it a pass.
