LONG update

Well I know I haven't updated for awhile, so I'm going to try to write a bit about what's been going on in my life in Wellington. It's been mostly good but a bit hard. My homesickness has not decreased much, but I think I'm learning to deal with it better and finding things to do on my own versus being so reliant on T for ideas and such.

Other than that, I'm in my third week of work at NZ Post. My coworkers are a good group and make the day go by faster. That always helps on the job. I also find it to be less serious and critical here overall than in the US, if any of you find that interesting at all....other than that, it's a lot to learn as they do a lot more at the NZ Post than they do at a post office in US.

I've also been to quite a few films lately, as part of the Wellington International Film Festival. I got to see two of the films in the Embassy Theatre, which has the largest screen in the Southern Hemisphere, and the Lord of the Rings Premiere was put on there also, so I've heard. Anyways, the film festival is really interesting and has a lot of films, compared to what I can see back in Minneapolis.

I'm just starting to feel comfortable and not out of place in Kiwi culture, though there are still a lot of things I don't understand in terms of the little things that take place in society. I try not to let this get to me however, and let it be an experience. I've found that works best. Well my lunch hr is almost over, so I should be going, but I look forward to hearing how any of you reading this are doing. Hopefully all is well. laters, bn
