I hope I don't jinx the absolutely beautiful weather we've been having in Welly, but here's a poem I wrote about Wellington in the winter....
Rainy Day in Wellington
Raindrops dance down the granite staircase,
car windows steam up on Taranaki Street,
unsuspecting umbrellas disembowled by the untamed Southerlies,
sea salts intermingle with the mist,
on this aphotic day.
