Ichijou Takuma’s childhood isn’t very known canonly since it isn’t delved into as much as the main characters. But we know he was brought up in a high class, rich environment by his grandfather, Ichijou Asato.
He is a noble vampire belonging to the B Class. The class directly below a Pureblood which are the most powerful kind of vampires. His grandfather not only ran a business that dealt with everything dealing with the human and “night world”, but he was also the head of the Council of Elders which were the vampires that had control over the rest of the vampires. They set rules, regulations and dealt with society. His grandfather was feared because he was very powerful not only in strength but in political and business influence.
Takuma’s parents’ whereabouts are unknown. All we know is that his father is an actor and his mother runs an ikebana school and that they’re estranged from his grandfather. We don’t know how Takuma’s grandfather got custody of Takuma or why. But it was his grandfather that raised him as a child. Takuma’s friends make comments all of the time saying that he’s nothing like his grandfather and how he and his grandfather are completely opposite from each other.
This noble vampire probably spent his childhood being schooled by the best tutors money could buy, being taught the ways of business, spending a bit of time with his friends, and training with his katana. Since his grandfather was so strict and harsh, he was probably verbally abused (seeing as how he even verbally abused his best friend Kaname) perhaps he was even physically abused as a child-though that’s speculation. He also probably spent time going to social events to meet people and build connections for when he was passed on the Ichijou Company. Soirees, balls, parties, and the like.
When he was eight years old, Juuri and Haruka Kuran passed away, being brutally murdered by Rido Kuran, Juuri’s brother that wanted to kill and devour his best friend’s younger sister Yuuki Kuran. Ichijou Asato took Kaname in and he began to live with them from then on. Asato wanted to adopt Kaname into the Ichijou family-for power reasons of course-but Kaname refused not wanting to be just another tool for Asato to use like he did with Takuma.
Takuma saw the changes that Kaname went through while they were living with eachother. He was one of the very few vampires to know that Kaname was the reincarnation of the first vampire in existence…the true King of Vampires. He probably also knew that Yuuki was his sister seeing as how Juuri would take Kaname back and fourth to his house to visit when she was alive. Even after she passed away and Kaname went to visit Yuuki at Cross Kaien’s house, he would know that Kaname would never visit some random little girl unless it was someone close to him. He also spied on them a little bit. He admitted this to Yuuki once.
The years went by, as they tend to do and when Takuma was about sixteen or so (or else that’s how old he looked), he enrolled with Kaname and his other noble class friends (Shiki, Rima, Kain, AidouHis roommate and very close friend was Shiki. Shiki’s personality was very bland. He was normally quiet, only speaking when necessary and had a very bored expression on all of the time, working as a model part time. Though, Shiki was protective of Takuma and Takuma protective of Shiki. Rima was also a close friend to Takuma, probably because she was so close to Shiki.
Another thing about the Night Class and the nobles is that they have to exterminate Level E’s. Level E’s are D Class vampires that have lost all of their sanity and start to ravage and attack humans ruthlessly trying to satisfy an insatiable appetite for blood. D Class vampires are humans that have been turned into vampires by a Pureblood from a bite. Unless that D class vampire continues to get a supply of blood from the Pureblood vampire that bit them, they have no chance in keeping their sanity. When Takuma was given a task to get rid of one, he would quickly dispose of them with a quick slice of his katana.
After a winter break, he didn’t go back with the others to the Academy along with Shiki. Instead he arrived a couple days later with “Shiki” who was Rido Kuran possessing Shiki’s body. (Rido Kuran is Shiki’s father whom made Shiki Kaname’s cousin and Rido Kaname’s uncle). Takuma watched over “Shiki” making sure that Rido didn’t harm his body or cause too much trouble for the other vampires. Asato was busy resurrecting Rido’s true body that was trying to recover from his battle with Juuri, Haruka, and Kaname.
Then all Hell broke loose across the Academy. The President of the Vampire Hunter’s Association was working with the Council of Elders to attack the Academy so that Asato could successfully resurrect Rido’s body so that Rido and Kaname could fight and the Purebloods destroy each other so that the Council of Elders could be in complete power and control of the vampire world along with the corrupt Hunter’s Association. Takuma had finally had enough of his grandfather’s reign of terror that was putting his close friends’ lives in danger and he couldn’t sit idly by as he had been for so long. He even was ready to put an end to the Ichijou line all together meaning that if he died along with his grandfather while fighting, then so be it. Kaname was about to kill him anyways, so he might as well right the wrong his own family inflicted upon the peaceful school.
So while epic battles were happening outside, his own epic family feud was going down inside of the Moon Dorms where he barely came out of it alive. His grandfather cut out part of his heart, but since a certain Pureblood named Shirabuki Sara came to kidnap him, he survived and was able to recover from the fight.
In her custody, he was run ragged by Sara Shirabuki. He had discovered her plans of trying to become Queen of vampires.
She was even using his family company as a cover operation for her plans. She captured the pharmaceutical company president that was under the Ichjou Corporation and held him prisoner. She had been using Takuma’s name and face as a front since Takuma’s grandfather was dead and no longer able to head the company.
He wandered into her dungeons where she kept humans that refused to become a vampire for her cause. They were only allowed out once they agreed to become hers and do her bidding.
This outraged Takuma and he vowed that he would do everything he could to try to stop her.
He knew that he couldn’t do anything directly. The power gap was far too large, but if he could just warn the Association or somebody, then that was more people in the know of Sara’s wrongdoings., Ruka, Seiren), into a school called Cross Academy. There, Cross Kaien was trying to prove that vampires and humans could co-exist. (Though the humans there didn’t know that vampires attended). His primary purpose was to keep watch over Kaname for Asato and report his movements to him. Though, Takuma refused since Kaname was his best friend and he wasn’t going to betray him like that.
The vampire class was called the Night Class and they attended their lessons during the evening when the Day Class students were going back to their Sun Dorms.
He was the Moon Dorm Vice Leader while Kaname was the Moon Dorm Leader. He did the majority of the work, doing all of the tasks that Kaname wasn’t up to doing or was already too busy to do. In his opinion, he did enough work to be the Dorm Leader himself, but he was fine being the Vice Leader since the other vampires devoutly followed Kaname’s every whim since he was a Pureblood.
One day, he got a letter from Yuuki Kuran inviting him to back to the reestablished Night Class. This time, he would be the Head Dorm Leader.
Sara insisted that she come along, but it was obvious from Takuma’s glare that he didn’t want that to happen. So instead, Sara got permission from the Vampire Hunters Association themselves, pleading for a sanctuary within the protection of Yuuki Kuran since she was “oh-so-scared” that Kaname was going to kill her and the Night Class would be the only place she would feel safe.
After Sara left, Takuma tried to warn the Vampire Hunters Association himself about her intentions, but to no avail.
Sara was able to join the Night Class and Takuma joined as well, of course, wanting to keep an eye on her. He told Zero that he’d do his best to watch her.
Takuma knew something was fishy about the new blood tablets that Sara was producing and wanted to tell Yuuki about them. He needed to warn someone about that they were dangerous.
Their conversation was interrupted abruptly and Takuma was physically punished for disobeying Sara.
Now these new blood tablets are being passed around amongst the vampires that contain Sara's blood which is dangerous. Purebloods having lesser vampires have their blood means that the vampires are more susceptible to being controlled by that Pureblood. I think even gaining a bit of their abilities.
Takuma is being mind controlled by Sara because she forced her blood on him, though he's fighting it as much as he can.
(Though, I'm not taking him from that far since that would be really strange.)

Takuma is a very cheerful, carefree, kind, loving, and caring individual with a mischievous streak. Or else, he used to be.
His sparkly, infectious, and bubbly personality has recently been suppressed by a very subdued, obedient, and even wistful demeanor.
Being kidnapped and trapped in a tight grasp of a demanding, sadistic, and whimsical vampire has taken away what made Takuma, Takuma.
Normally, Takuma is the ray of sunshine amongst his fellow vampire peers. He’s seen smiling brightly, laughing, and doing silly things. Even while keeping his noble vampire grace in the way he carries himself, one can tell that he’s a lot different from his other classmates and friends.
In the manga, he’s described as the most “human like” of all the vampires. His bright and shining “aura” is a lot different than the dark and foreboding “auras” a vampire would normally give. In this aspect, he’s like the compliment to his best friend Kaname who does act and give off the same feeling as the typical vampire-tall, dark, handsome, and brooding. Even the other vampires around him say things like “Are you even a vampire?” as he is seen bounding around energetically during the daytime and disturbing the sleeping vampires.
Takuma even likes being awake during the day. He describes it (in the fanguide) as the equivalent as being a night owl for a human. He uses this time to stay up and read manga and do anything else that suits his fancy. He normally goes about this without bothering any other vampire.
Though, he is a bit of a tease. Takuma is known to say anything he wants to even to the revered Pureblood Kaname. He says things that other vampires wouldn’t even dare to even think about saying to a Pureblood vampire of such a high command like Kaname. He also makes it a personal goal to tease his friend Aidou at least once a day since Aidou is so easily ruffled up and starts yelling.
He is also cooky, quirky. TV tropes has the tag “Cukooclucklander” under his name. He reads a LOT of manga, mystery novels, and even dictionaries. His favorite food is listed as “everything” and he gets into hobbies at random. He has a huge collection that takes up quite a few shelves in his dormitory (I wouldn’t even want to imagine the one he has at home.) and while he considers them valuable, they’re the sort of objects that would make someone tilt their head and think “What the hell?” He thinks they're conversational pieces, though the conversation would go along the lines of “There’s something strange about you”. The collection also consists of some items that are said to be “cursed” because he wants to see if they would actually work.
He is also known for being a tea fanatic. He love love loves tea! He knows everything about it. He’s even snuck over to the Day Class tea ceremony club. He knows types of tea, what snacks go with what type or flavor, the ceremony process, everything!
Being a social butterfly, no one really dislikes him though there used to be two separate factions and his grandfather was the head of one of them. (Well, Aidou thinks he’s an idiot because of the way he gallivants around, but he doesn’t dislike him.) He’s well respected amongst his vampire peers not only because of his high status in the vampire world, but also because he’s dutiful and friendly. It’s very hard to not like Takuma because he’s just so nice. He hosts many parties and tries to make sure all of his guests have a good time.
He has a high status in the Night World. Not just because his grandfather used to be the Head of the Vampire Council, but also is one of the strongest nobles, being apart of the first noble family ever created in the vampire world. His grandfather was feared just as much as a Pureblood would be feared, though it was known his grandfather could never kill a Pureblood. But the Ichijou powers are just a small step below that of a Pureblood’s. And they are the closest noble family to the first vampire lineage. So even other nobles call Takuma by “Ichijou-sama” or “Takuma-sama”. Only his other closest friends, Shiki and Rima, call him “Ichijou-san”. And Kaname just calls him “Ichijou” with no honorifics.
Takuma is also VERY protective of his friends. He will fight tooth and nail if it’s to protect them. He was even willing to sacrifice his life to fight his own grandfather to protect the people he loves and cares for most. He is the kind of person to suffer in silence just so that the people around him don’t have to. That’s one reason why he’s also suffering by Sara’s side even AFTER Shiki has offered him help. If he knows that something is a potential danger to his friends, better he than them.
His relationships with his friends are what really holds him all together.
Takuma’s best friend is Kaname Kuran. Kaname Kuran is the King of Vampires. He is the Pureblood of the highest nature and what he says goes. Only recently, the noble vampires and other Purebloods have been questioning his actions. As stated above, Takuma’s personality compliments Kaname’s. After the death of his “parents”, Kaname went to go live with Takuma and his grandfather for ten years. Takuma was told all of Kaname’s secrets within that duration, since Takuma is such a trustworthy person. He told him that he’s secretly the very first ancestor that was thought to have been sleeping for ten thousand years. And with a secret like that, it can be assumed that Takuma was also told that Yuuki was really a vampire princess. Takuma’s kept tight-lipped about these facts for years. And in all honesty, Takuma is the perfect person to tell secrets to since he can so easily act ditzy and pretend to have no clue what someone is talking about.
When they were children and Juuri Kuran (Kaname and Yuuki’s mother) was still alive, she would send Kaname to Takuma’s house often to play saying that she hoped Takuma’s cheerful personality would rub off on Kaname who was such a subdued boy. Sometimes Kaname would go home upset since Takuma’s grandfather would say something cruel to him.
His bond to Kaname is so strong that even whilst captured by a beautiful Pureblood woman, he remains extremely loyal to Kaname. Though, he’s been brooding a bit about the fact that he doesn’t know what his best friend is doing. Yuuki, Kaname’s sister and beloved one, has even told Takuma “I always feel that in the area of love, I’ll always be defeated by Ichijou-senpai. You must like that person a lot” He seemed to be at a loss of words when that was said.
Being so connected to the Kuran line, it’s no wonder that he was able to befriend Kaname’s cousin, Shiki Senri. Shiki is the son of Kaname and Yuuki’s uncle, Rido, though Shiki has taken the name of his mother since he wants nothing to do with his father. This is also why he was on the Vampire Council faction instead of the Hierarchy faction. (Think of an established government versus royalty).
Takuma and Shiki are very close to each other. They were dorm mates when the Night Class was established. At first, Takuma had his own huge suite, but Shiki took residence there, only taking up barely a quarter of the room. (The rest of the room being taken up by his manga collection and his…other collection.)
Takuma takes Shiki around everywhere with him. They’ll do the most random things together, usually Takuma’s idea. Takuma enjoys the company Shiki brings to him. Any other vampire wouldn’t go along with his whimsical, silly ideas.
They’re also very touchy with each other. Shiki will take Takuma’s hand, or Takuma will cling to Shiki’s arm and tug him somewhere, or Shiki will fall asleep against Takuma and things like that. Shiki’s even gone as far as to “accidentally” cut Takuma and lick the blood off of his hand. Takuma just lets it happen.
Then there’s Rima. It’s apparent that she likes Takuma since she showed a lot of worry and anger when Takuma went missing when he was kidnapped. Takuma, Shiki, and Rima are really a trio of odd sorts, Shiki being their common bond most of all.
The other main vampires just show respect towards him, mainly.
But now, all of that has changed. After being kidnapped by Sara, all of this has slipped away. He doesn’t smile like he used to, he doesn’t have a bright outlook on things like he used to, he hasn’t been able to spend time with his friends for a year and a half. He is so depressed. It’s like he’s a caged bird with his wings clipped.
With the love of friends, his wings can grow once more and he can fly again.

He says things that other vampires wouldn’t even dare to even think about saying to a Pureblood vampire of such a high command like Kaname. He also makes it a personal goal to tease his friend Aidou at least once a day since Aidou is so easily ruffled up and starts yelling.
He is also cooky, quirky. TV tropes has the tag “Cukooclucklander” under his name. He reads a LOT of manga, mystery novels, and even dictionaries. His favorite food is listed as “everything” and he gets into hobbies at random. He has a huge collection that takes up quite a few shelves in his dormitory (I wouldn’t even want to imagine the one he has at home.) and while he considers them valuable, they’re the sort of objects that would make someone tilt their head and think “What the hell?” He thinks they're conversational pieces, though the conversation would go along the lines of “There’s something strange about you”. The collection also consists of some items that are said to be “cursed” because he wants to see if they would actually work.
He is also known for being a tea fanatic. He love love loves tea! He knows everything about it. He’s even snuck over to the Day Class tea ceremony club. He knows types of tea, what snacks go with what type or flavor, the ceremony process, everything!
Being a social butterfly, no one really dislikes him though there used to be two separate factions and his grandfather was the head of one of them. (Well, Aidou thinks he’s an idiot because of the way he gallivants around, but he doesn’t dislike him.) He’s well respected amongst his vampire peers not only because of his high status in the vampire world, but also because he’s dutiful and friendly. It’s very hard to not like Takuma because he’s just so nice. He hosts many parties and tries to make sure all of his guests have a good time.
He has a high status in the Night World. Not just because his grandfather used to be the Head of the Vampire Council, but also is one of the strongest nobles, being apart of the first noble family ever created in the vampire world. His grandfather was feared just as much as a Pureblood would be feared, though it was known his grandfather could never kill a Pureblood. But the Ichijou powers are just a small step below that of a Pureblood’s. And they are the closest noble family to the first vampire lineage. So even other nobles call Takuma by “Ichijou-sama” or “Takuma-sama”. Only his other closest friends, Shiki and Rima, call him “Ichijou-san”. And Kaname just calls him “Ichijou” with no honorifics.
Takuma is also VERY protective of his friends. He will fight tooth and nail if it’s to protect them. He was even willing to sacrifice his life to fight his own grandfather to protect the people he loves and cares for most. He is the kind of person to suffer in silence just so that the people around him don’t have to. That’s one reason why he’s also suffering by Sara’s side even AFTER Shiki has offered him help. If he knows that something is a potential danger to his friends, better he than them.
His relationships with his friends are what really holds him all together.
Takuma’s best friend is Kaname Kuran. Kaname Kuran is the King of Vampires. He is the Pureblood of the highest nature and what he says goes. Only recently, the noble vampires and other Purebloods have been questioning his actions. As stated above, Takuma’s personality compliments Kaname’s. After the death of his “parents”, Kaname went to go live with Takuma and his grandfather for ten years. Takuma was told all of Kaname’s secrets within that duration, since Takuma is such a trustworthy person. He told him that he’s secretly the very first ancestor that was thought to have been sleeping for ten thousand years. And with a secret like that, it can be assumed that Takuma was also told that Yuuki was really a vampire princess. Takuma’s kept tight-lipped about these facts for years. And in all honesty, Takuma is the perfect person to tell secrets to since he can so easily act ditzy and pretend to have no clue what someone is talking about.
When they were children and Juuri Kuran (Kaname and Yuuki’s mother) was still alive, she would send Kaname to Takuma’s house often to play saying that she hoped Takuma’s cheerful personality would rub off on Kaname who was such a subdued boy. Sometimes Kaname would go home upset since Takuma’s grandfather would say something cruel to him.
His bond to Kaname is so strong that even whilst captured by a beautiful Pureblood woman, he remains extremely loyal to Kaname. Though, he’s been brooding a bit about the fact that he doesn’t know what his best friend is doing. Yuuki, Kaname’s sister and beloved one, has even told Takuma “I always feel that in the area of love, I’ll always be defeated by Ichijou-senpai. You must like that person a lot” He seemed to be at a loss of words when that was said.
Being so connected to the Kuran line, it’s no wonder that he was able to befriend Kaname’s cousin, Shiki Senri. Shiki is the son of Kaname and Yuuki’s uncle, Rido, though Shiki has taken the name of his mother since he wants nothing to do with his father. This is also why he was on the Vampire Council faction instead of the Hierarchy faction. (Think of an established government versus royalty).
Takuma and Shiki are very close to each other. They were dorm mates when the Night Class was established. At first, Takuma had his own huge suite, but Shiki took residence there, only taking up barely a quarter of the room. (The rest of the room being taken up by his manga collection and his…other collection.)
Takuma takes Shiki around everywhere with him. They’ll do the most random things together, usually Takuma’s idea. Takuma enjoys the company Shiki brings to him. Any other vampire wouldn’t go along with his whimsical, silly ideas.
They’re also very touchy with each other. Shiki will take Takuma’s hand, or Takuma will cling to Shiki’s arm and tug him somewhere, or Shiki will fall asleep against Takuma and things like that. Shiki’s even gone as far as to “accidentally” cut Takuma and lick the blood off of his hand. Takuma just lets it happen.
Then there’s Rima. It’s apparent that she likes Takuma since she showed a lot of worry and anger when Takuma went missing when he was kidnapped. Takuma, Shiki, and Rima are really a trio of odd sorts, Shiki being their common bond most of all.
The other main vampires just show respect towards him, mainly.
But now, all of that has changed. After being kidnapped by Sara, all of this has slipped away. He doesn’t smile like he used to, he doesn’t have a bright outlook on things like he used to, he hasn’t been able to spend time with his friends for a year and a half. He is so depressed. It’s like he’s a caged bird with his wings clipped.
With the love of friends, his wings can grow once more and he can fly again.

Special ability- Molecular destruction. He can break down matter at a molecular level.

Takuma is a very affectionate person himself, so he'll allow basically just about anything. If he doesn't know your character, of course he'll be a little weirded out, but other than that, he's up for anything.
[Fighting] He's a pacifist, so he'd first try to talk things out with your character before fighting. But if you MUST fight him, he's game. Just be warned he is pretty powerful.
