diseases and hypocrites : the little rant

to quote Peter Griffin "you wanna know what grinds my gears?"

seeing people become huge supporters of a cause only after they are personally affected. all these people who basically devote their lives to say....breast cancer or something but they only started because either they themselves or someone they knew was affected. i'm sorry but that makes you a fucking hypocrite.

if you never bothered or cared to do anything before, why are you starting now? because it became personal? dont get me wrong, i'm not bashing the idea, of course these are all good fights to fight....but i look at myself, i dont do any of that. i dont support or follow or whatever for anything. regardless if that makes me bad or not, that's just the facts..i dont do it.

now let's use breast cancer. say my mom or someone else i'm close with got it, how big of a douche would i be to suddenly be mr "let's cure breast cancer" when until they got it, i never cared or bothered? that would make me a hypocrite, a big one at that. nothing wrong with supporting causes but you should do it because you believe in it and you want to help...you dont do it just because you feel guilty that it happened to someone you know.

i realize if everyone did this, there would hardly be any supporters of anything but yeah....i just dont get it and its annoying to see. lol

and that's the end of that. :)
