and patience paid off....
so its done, i got me my widescreen tv from my brother....i'm glad i waited to buy one cuz recently there's been many sales...most recent, i saw a 37inch one for like 700$ but it was a no name brand and when it comes to electronics, especially big items like that....u DONT buy no names....brand names are more expensive for a reason..they work... so yeah i was slowly sorta saving up and was gonna get one this summer or maybe the fall....but i just talked to my brother and we made the deal.... its not the original tv he offered me (which was a Sony Wega), that was the same we have upstairs....but this one is good too (its an LG), i've watched it at his house and played games on it and all so...fun stuff...
back when he was possibly offering me his Sony TV he was gonna sell it to me for 1000 which is an awesome deal cuz that tv cost him well over 2000$.... now today he told me he wanted to get rid of the stand too so i figured he would ask for 1200-1500 which again, is a great deal and worth it but yeah....to my shock....he even said "because you're my little brother, even though you're taller" lol....so yeah he only asked me for ....get this.....600$.... 600 bucks for a 42 inch widescreen tv and a nice big stand......to show how much a fucking deal i got....when he bought that tv and the stand (which was extra)....it cost him 3000$ .....so yeah wow....getting hand me downs from him always goes well...lol
he's moving the 23rd and he told me the movers will be stopping over here to drop off the tv and other stuff he gave mom so no travel required..lol ...looking at my calendar i realized thats next week so i should have it that weekend probably......i had already measured the upstairs tv and came down here and out of pure coincidence, i have just enough room for that one...which means i'm good for the one i bought...so yay on that too....course i wont have the whole 5.1 sound shit down here but hey, all i cared about was a widescreen for now.....and of course my current tv is fucked up and the colors are all off so it'll be nice to finally have proper colors again....the simpsons will actually be YELLOW...not the pale imitation of yellow they are now.....i think i'll take a pic of the current tv with simpsons so i can eventually take one of the new tv and show....cuz i'm sure i dont do justice to describing just how fucked my colors are.....its not tooooooo bad for live action, unless its a colorful movie.....but cartoons fuck....Leela's hair on Futurama is brown instead of purple....lol
