Story and two "unreleased" pictures behind the cut.
.
Today Fritzi moved out to the Meerschweinchenhilfe Köln-Porz!
Renée is a very experienced guinea pig saviour. =)
She checked Fritzi and cut his claws, then he put him into his new cage.
Fritzi is now living in a converted garden shed on the "third floor" above three guinea pig girls which were found abandoned at a parking space. ;_;
At first he was shocked because his new cage is so different from what he is used to, but then we gave him his (formerly Takeru's) grass house back. His house is his castle, he jumped inside and immediately felt save.
Then it took only 60 seconds 'setting in period'. He didn't know where he was but it smelled like girls and guinea pig friends, so he came out of his house -all happy and relaxed- and ran around squeaking, exploring his apartment and looking for the girls. ^^;
Neutering tomorrow, so that he will be able to ehm... meet guinea pig girls in late january or february 2011.
Renée is a student and keeping the Meerschweinchenhilfe running for five years now! She's spending hundreds of euros each month to save a few furry souls. Currently she's taking care of about 25 guinea pigs in need, tomorrow it will be over 40 !!!
I already donated everything I could afford, but maybe you would like to donate 5€ or something for a few cucumbers for Fritzi and friends?
If you do, I would be impressed and love you forever. Have a look at her site for a impression where Fritzi lives now and where all the money goes.
http://kleintierhilfe.oyla14.de/cgi-bin/hpm_homepage.cgi I'm happy that Fritzi is so happy right now...
Here are two more photos of his time at my house.
--- flirting with Felina --- She made him find new interest in life after his fearful experiences.
The indoor "pig pen". I had to partition it to avoid baby guinea pigs. Fritzi on the left, Felina on the right to entertain him.
This initiated the big breakthrough in Fritzis mental recovery.
The first days Fritzi was just running running running, occupied by the joy of being able to move on a whole square meter.
This is big fat happy end to my mission. I'm really happy and hope that Fritzi will be fine after the surgery and get loving new owners next year. (I hope they will be kind enough to send me some photos of Fritzis new home...)
Okay, I have to sleep now.
One last thing for all ya guinea pig lovers. ;D
