Today I finally received my student teaching placement! There is some good news and some bad. I guess I'll start with the good news...I've been placed at Shrewsbury High, so no worries about going to North High and having to deal with inner city kids. The bad news is that my cooperating teacher is Mr. Harry Clough! Now this is going to be an interesting since him and I have completely different teaching styles! I hope he lets me do some of my own stuff. He is the worksheet king of SHS so I shouldn't have to worry about making my own worksheets, well, that is if I'm in a crunch! I hope I'm a breath of fresh air for his students! I'm just worried about the statistics students because I have a lot of trouble with stats! But I guess this will be a good learning experience for me because maybe I'll actually learn how to do statistics cuz I haven't actually had a decent stats teacher, which is why I don't know how to do it! Now all I need to worry about is who my WSC supervisor is going to be...everyone please pray/cross your fingers that it is not Dr. Aisiku!
Also, on a completely unrelated note...In response to Jill's post about country songs about Massachusetts, there are a few. In addition to Matt's contribution (btw Kenny Chesney covered "Please Come to Boston," whose version does not hold a candle to the original or Reba MacEntire's version), there is also "Whoever's in New England" by Reba and there's a more recent song by Terri Clark I believe that mentions the Patriots, but I can't remember the name of the song. I'm glad Matt mentioned "She's From Boston" because I think that's a great song and it mentions all the great things about Massachusetts (i.e. the Red Sox)! And I do have to say, country music is bigger in Massachusetts than I ever realized. I never knew how big it was until I started listening to country!
