Okay I lied...
Here's the latest news at Waldenbooks:
Megan is leaving...which opens up a keyholder position. I was very lucky and NOT asked. EJ, who I don't think is the best choice, got the job! So I now think I'm off the hook and would not have to deal with being asked and having to say "no." Well we all put in our new schedules for the fall/Christmas season and it turns out Matt is staying at the store, but on a very limited basis. So Michelle and Jason (our DM) needed to transfer Matt's keys to someone else. I still did not want the position when the issue was first brought up on Saturday. Well, I worked with Michelle last night and she offered to give me more money if I took Matt's keys. This changed everything cuz I basically didn't want the job since no pay raise was involved. Now that Michelle is working on getting me more money, I said I'd take the keys. I know...I lied about never taking keys for Waldenbooks. Oh well, I couldn't turn down more money cuz I really need it right now. I have decided to stay there until we hire Christmas help. I just don't feel right leaving right now cuz we really don't have enough people to man the kiosk, which opens on the 30th, and the store. So I'm hoping to leave by the end of September. Ergh...I really wish I didn't need money as bad as I do...
