The party!
I figured it out! This is what I am gonna do for my birthday this year:
Friday
I will bring a pie to my work and in the evening I invited my parents and in laws for coffee and cake.
Saturday
In the evening I will take some close friends for a fancy diner at one of my favorite places. Afterward we go to my house for drinks and whatever we feel like.
This is the perfect solution for. No big party. No running around, no large groups, no worries who to invite, who is coming and who not, just relaxed, but still fun and I get to see my friends and family. This must be the first time since... well very long... that I am actually looking forward to my birthday.
