bounce_ko! hurrah for getting an lj, twill be much easier to keep in touch whilst we're at college. Wednesday night was great! I must get a copy of that movie for next year to supplement The Incredibles viewings. must_get_Rob_to_like_another_movie see you tonight! which movie do you want to see - Mr. and Mrs. Smith or Madagasgar?
Hey Kinumeiga! That buddy icon of yours is seriously hot. Where did you find it/how did you make it? It definately wasn't in the movie... if it was crafted somehow, it's very well done.
No, that scene DEFINITELY didn't happen in the movie. I suspect it would have more rabid female fans, but far fewer straight male fans, if such a scene DID actually happen. Though I imagine the movie's rating would be bumped up to "R".
By the way, Kinumeiga, you know you're squiking (definition: "creeping out/making uncomfortable) all my friends who aren't into slash with your icon, right? Especially the straight male ones who dislike fanfiction and anime . . .
Hold on, do I have any of those left? Ever since I started hanging out with Katie, my social group has gotten a bit . . . odd . . . even queer, you might say.
Oh, wait, there's Bill! Though Katie's working on corrupting him . . . and I'm suspicious that his relationship with his computer is more than strictly platonic . . . (Oh! Hi there, Bill! Just kidding around . . . no need to poke me the next time I see you . . . Hey, that *giggle* tickles! Quit it! And stop - haha - stop poking me - hee hee. *dissolves into giggles as the tickling continues*)
I am not technosexual, despite what you think and despite Katie's efforts. My computer doesn't even have a name, though it would be a Shakespearean name if 'twere. Also, I wasn't particularly squiked by the icon, not that you were referring to me specifically...
As for poking Katie on facebook, she has a much harder time defending against it, and you have a much easier time avoiding her wrath when you're out of range (i.e. not in the immediate vicinity).
Stop poking me!bounce_koJune 11 2005, 23:34:29 UTC
That's three times you've poked me now! I'm going to get back at you, y'know. Just wait. Someday, when you're passing by some dark alley, not thinking about a thing, I'm gonna leap out and POKE YOU! Multiple times, in an indefensible attack. My big sister's been kind enough to help me wih the fact that my reflexes are like steel . . . noodles. I've improved greatly under her tickling tutelage

hah! I watched Kinsey last night. Right after I watched "Heathers" all of the way through. T_T Sex and death/violence, the two human obsessions. It's too bad you didn't see the very end of the movie. JD decides to blow up the school as testimony to the corruption of youth by society, and Veronica stops him. I can't directly quote his words at the end of the movie, but they were pretty intense, and they would have been perfect for your class. It was something like "The only way to level the social scene and make everybody equal in this fucked up school is to send everybody to heaven, that's the only way that we can achieve peace in this society!" or something like that

From a social standpoint, a technosexual would almost surely be asexual (at least for all practical purposes). It's a lot easier to understand computers than people, and therefore said person would find other people utterly inadequate.
As a general rule, computers and peripherals with removable cables are female, and most other things are male. Some cables are androgynous.

I think of asexual as being "no sexual feelings whatsoever." - Dictionary.com defines it as "Lacking interest in or desire for sex." - Miriam-Webster.com defines it as "devoid of sexuality "
Therefore, I must say that a technosexual could not be considered asexual, since the concept of "technosexuality" fundamentally includes sexual attraction to technological appliances.
As for the gender of said technological appliances, I think your answer is as good as any. I would add that "hermaphrodite" is a term that might well apply to certain cables and appliances which have both plugs and ports.
