Do not ask me to die for you...
Ask me to live for you. Ask me to devote all that i have and am and will be to you. Ask me to be at your beck and call and every command to answer with "as you wish" and not to sleep until it's done. Ask me to put forth all my effort into making you happy. Ask me to hold you forever and rock you to sleep and rub your back and say "Sh, no more tonight" when you're upset. Ask me never to leave your side without a kiss and "i'll be back soon." Ask me to never look at anything but you and to never speak another word that isn't sweet and caring and meant only for your ears. Ask me to fight, to bleed, to carry you with broken arms to the ends of the earth and back or simply to stay where you can find me any time of any day to see and know that I am yours. Do not ask me to die for you, my life is yours and i would gladly give it and you will never have to ask. But you give me so much to live for, and i will i want i need to live for you.
