We made it to the half way mark!

Those first few months felt very slow. Days dragged by. You couldn't tell I was pregnant. I literally wasn't telling people. It felt like a painfully slow start. Now that we are over the hump it seems as if there's not enough time to prepare for what's ahead.

Yesterday I had my first appointment with a new doctor. I have to say I could not be more happy with this change. Everyone who I interacted with there was so polite, excited and informative.  I have never had a male OBGYN before and I was nervous about that but he seems really comforting and experienced.

This week has been a bit exciting on the baby front. We had our first ultrasound and got to hear the heartbeat! Just now does it all finally feel REAL.  It's been a very long ten weeks.  Seeing the baby move around and seeing it's little heart beat was so cool! I thought I would cry. I didn't. Keeping the pregnancy news a secret has been SO VERY HARD. Official timeline today is 9 weeks and 2 days. As I have been down the heartbreaking road of miscarriage with many of my friends before I have decided that I am not sharing the news until after the first trimester.
