I'm Joe's sister, Katie and I live out in CO now. I found you through Joe's online Journal. I'm soooo happy for you guys! Thats exciting! I'm bummed I don't get to meet you when you come down for prom though. But you guys better send me pictures!
As for school, I think its better not to know anyone. It forces you to start talking to any and every one. I knew one person when I went to college, but I had met him the end of my senior year of high school and never spoke to him. We did end up as friends in college, but in large part because of other people we met. The first month of college is the BEST. You are meeting all kinds of people, and having fun doing things you may never have done before. I still remember the people I met at our first social. (Tennis-ball boy, Doc, the guy that looked like Matt Damon . . .etc). Tennis ball boy turned out to be one of my best friends, the guy that looked like Matt Damon introduced me to my best friend in the whole world during my sophomore year, and Doc was at every party. That was a really long tangent for what I intended to be a quick hi, but the punchline is: don't be anxious about college, it really is the best time in your life and you'll spend all your time after graduating college trying to figure out how to go back (trust me, I'm doing it now :-)

Hi Katie! Thanks for the advice and for commenting! I feel a little bit better now about the college thing :)! Ok so I'll make sure you get pictures of the prom, and yeah it stinks I don't get to meet you, you seem really nice! Hopefully someday I will get to meet ya in person, but I guess this is ok for now! Well thanks again! Keep in touch!! ~Amy~
