One thing I accomplished in Vancouver was that I finally, after about 10 years of trying, got a slightly butch haircut. It was all the sweeter for being totally unexpected - I got a trim in the basement of the convention center, of all places. Hardly first on my list of gay-positive places. Perhaps I was just the unknowing victim of assumption, all I asked was well-trimmed on the sides and hair I could spike up top, but at least the stylist didn't squeak "I don't want to make you look like a boooooy."
It was what I've wanted for awhile.
Also, I finally joined the pod people and got transition glasses. I can't figure out if that is a notch down the geek ladder or if it brings me to the pinnacle of geek. Ah well.

Post-haircut, with old glasses. Awkward Ellen is awkward.

Post-haircut (less fun gel) and new hottness. Gratuitous MySpace shot. Here I have to be painfully obvious and admit that I planned my day's outfit for the maximum ghey. Tank top? Check. Loose male workshirt? Check. Jeans and Harley boots? Check.

A grrl and her bookshelf. Somehow whenever I take my own picture, 2/3rds of the shots end up looking super "fierce," as if I'm forcing my cheekbones on the world. Guess it's up to the viewers to determine whether I'm fierce, fierce tranny, or just a hot mess...
