(no subject)
So I'm nice and settled at my Aunt Sylvia's house now in Morris, IL. I'm already thoroughly enjoying myself here. It's absolutely lovely. The weather has been warm, and only a bit overwhelming during the afternoon hours. I start my fall experience at the high school tomorrow. I'm excited to start, but I feel a bit like I'm stumbling around in the dark and the administrators are enjoying watching me run this rat maze blind - just to see if I'll make it out alive. They've given me directions, but it's kinda like giving someone directions and a map for Ohio, but you're driving in Iowa. Yes, they're both relatively flat and full of corn fields, but they really have no relation to each other whatsoever in terms of navigation. The school of education has given loads of directions on student teaching, but they don't relate at all to teaching high school music. The entire structure is different. The school of music, on the other hand, I have all the background in, but no direction at all. I can only hope my cooperating teacher has more info on this than I do, otherwise it's going to be the blind leading the blind.
I've tried calling my cooperating teacher tonight a few times, but he hasn't picked up. I can only guess I need to be in at 7 am tomorrow. *shrug*
