i find it hard to concentrate when my Chemistry teacher talks. he looks like mr. Bean. and has very gollumy-ish eyes. and a really deep Homer-ish voice. so instead of focusing on really complex chemistry reactions, i just sit there and come up with analogies of who he looks like. my creativity is thriving. but at the cost of what?
and my chemistry lab teacher looks like one of our most controversial political leaders mixed with Charlie Chaplin. Apparently he lived in Texas for a good 20 years. he sounds like Georges Bush. People have a problem following him while he talks. i just laugh my ass off.
I am watching grey's anatomy. i wish time would speed up and i was 3 years already forward in time in med school dissecting dead people's corpses. rather morbid, no? i cant wait to be disgusted.
My studies are suffering (??) at the cost of my social life. i dont know. last week, i spent a lot of time indoors studying and i was really depressed and frustrated about over the weekend. this week, i have been hanging out with a lot of my friends. i am falling a bit behind and feeling a bit guilty.
we're studying Descartes and Shakespeare in human civilization. by far one of my favourite courses, it reminded me a lot of ms. Klemmer's "Klemistry" we are studying the age of enlightment and modernity and all those cool dudes like Francis Bacon. My teacher is very fond of him. My teacher... well he's interesting, a bit too feminine for my taste, but sure why not? he's very clever, enthusiastic and energetic.
i seem to pick one guy every year from its beginnign and i take a liking to him. hehe i sound very jane austen-ish. well i thought this time it was a good choice as he wasnt very coveted (again jane austen-ish but better than say Popular) and i thought he was shy (something i always like). he's also known to be one fo the smartest people around. everyone says so.
well jane austen is wrong. he's very Don Juan-ish/casanova. but as i function better under pressure or competition ( i need massive therapy), i dont mind.
i want to watch stardust the movie but there's just no right time right now.
i'm liking this semester. good start
