Okay, so no idea about the bubble tea, but I explored the city today.
I crossed the river to Gateshead, met my first Palestinian, got lost in Gateshead by mistake, ended up being directed to a pedestrian part of a bridge under major reconstruction, and exploring the Castle Gates and outsides of the actual castle. Then Ivor and I took a midnight walk to the Millenium Bridge, found a hot New Yorker (who probably thought we were together -- dammit, missed my chances), and then we walked back through the Quayside.
Even though I shouldn't, I think I'm going out tonight for Valentine's with a group of people. How miserable. But we've all had major male-bashing chats lately, so it's only fitting that we go out and enjoy ourselves. Ivor's particularly into it, and it'll be a good laugh.
