Best. Birthday. Ever. Period.
So my birthday - so far and I doubt anything could screw it up at this rate... - has been amazing. I worked a long shift and got away with doing pretty much nothing. W00T! I found out my douche of a boss is leaving next Wednesday! (That is prolly one of the best gifts I've gotten ever!) AND I get to switch my hours so I'm working from 6-2 tomorrow instead of 9:30 - 6! :DDDDDDDD
My co-worker Mary made me a cake, Ira (pronounced EE-Rah) got me really nice chocolates (Merci!) and everyone pretty much made me feel like a million bucks. Raul takes the cake though. I had pretty low expectations since I know we don't make a lot of money so I didn't expect what he actually did.
I got off of work and as planned he picked me up and we were going to go to a nice quiet dinner, just the two of us. So we arrive and I'm like, oh! Party of 2. The girl looks at Raul oddly and we go to sit at a booth and he's like, can we get a table in the back? I had one reserved. She looks at Raul weird and she goes, we only had a reservation for a party of 12? And Raul's like, um no. So we go back there and I'm like where ever we go, just sit! So we walk by and I'm like wth when he's like... oh can we sit... with our party? I look over and there's Raul's entire family, my best friend Danny, and our friends RJ and Kala all waving. I kind of got choked up about it. Raul's just cracking up and and I just was shocked. I didn't expect it! So I see a bag tied to my chair and Raul was like, I did some shopping. *shrug* I open it up and it's this jacket that I look at longingly every time I go into GAP. The utility jacket. *happy sigh* I was so happy and just surprised with it all that I didn't even realize toward the end that I was running late for class.
Plus with the combination of Raul telling me he was falling in love with me, I don't think I've had a better birthday.
