(no subject)
denorios recced this kind of awesome Star Trek fanvid featuring Britney Spears' Circus the other day (a song I secretly enjoy: the chorus has one of those soaring mournful sounds I like in my pop - but don't tell the neighbours), and now I'm back in that place where I can't quite work out if I'm attracted to Kirk's actor (whose name slips my memory) or not. I have this thing I get with men where I become sort of fascinated by their face, but I'm not necessarily attracted to them? Looking at him, I know he's not my type at all (too pretty?), but he's got one of those faces that I can't stop watching. A sort of wonkiness/mismatching of features, or the pale eyes perhaps? Maybe it's the playing-a-cocky-yet-strangely-charismatic-jackass thing, the affliction and the prerogative of many females my own age. He looks like he has the devil in him. I DUNNO, I CAN'T WORK IT OUT.
...I really, really want to see this film again though. I wonder where my nearest IMAX is? I think there's one in Bradford, so perhaps a trip to see the Bradford-based mate is in order.
The Star Trek fandom keeps going on about how they invented slash with the K/S pairing, but I see no evidence. RECS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. (Preferably reboot because I've already explained my nerd cred deficiencies in an earlier post.)
