I spent my morning today in
Longleat. The safari park is not open this time of year, but there are tours of the house, and it was there we headed. Beautiful, beautiful place. Unfortunately we were unable to take photos, so none of that I'm afraid, but I assure you it's truly gorgeous. Such a shame the weather didn't feel agreeable, and I spent my times outside of the house fighting with an umbrella while attempting a sprint to the car. I then spent the rest of the afternoon eating burnt pizza and drinking Yorkshire tea at a friend's house, and shopping for Christmas cards. When I got back I felt positively exhausted by my "activities", and ended up plonking myself in front of the telly for five hours, even though I had only intended to watch X Factor.
Speaking of which, Rhydian was phenomenal tonight. His rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water was very beautiful, but it was - to my shame as a United supporter - his rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone which had the hair standing on the back of my neck. Very stunning. Simon Cowell should just award him the record contract now and have it done with. There's no one else in the competition that even comes close to him on a bad day, never mind when he's good.
