"For the first time in 100 years United score four goals in four successive games..."
*Beams* Good lads. You have owed us though, given that miserable start to the season.
Anyway, I was wondering: does anybody out there actually use the word "lover" in reference to their partner in real life? Or is it just the sort of treacly, sappy word certain ficcers and writers like so much? Please let it be the latter, because I absolutely can't bear it. It's absolutely vile, and it makes me flinch every time I read it, especially when used in conversation between two men. Please, go and talk to some actual gay men or, you know, men in general. They don't sound like that!
