So, who's going to write this fic for me eh?
The ST kinkmemes are quite interesting for me because it sort of puts into perspective my what my own kinks and non-kinks are (at least in fic; real life is different), and how they differ and align with other people's.
Like, I've worked out several things that seem to work wonders for other people that do absolutely nothing for me: tattoos, guitars, musicians in general, hurt/comfort and angst (usually). I still don't understand the fetish for motorbikes and cars; whereas I can certainly appreciate the aesthetic appeal of those things in and of themselves (omg Aston Martin) I don't actually find them in any way conducive to the sexiness of a fic/character. Other things: BDSM, M/s, crossdressing - I find these things are too contrived for me to enjoy. Leather and rubber do nothing but make me think of chafing and sweaty unpleasantness.
(ETA: To prevent any further confusion, I am totally down with BDSM elements if it isn't forethought. As I've mentioned in the comments, restraint totally fucking works for me, I just want to see it done with ties and sheets rather than equipment. Nothing says "bleurgh!" to me like equipment.)
Things I do like: Initiative and spontaneity. Someone taking control. Bossy bottoms. Roughsex. Biting, then biting hard enough to bleed. Hard pinching fingers. Frottage and choking and face-fucking and public sex. Anatomy. I like bones (as opposed to Bones, though I like him too). I like descriptions of the coccyx, the ascending staircase of the spinal column, the pelvis and the hips, the sudden projection of the ulnar styloid process, the lovely hard lines of the clavicles and the scapulas. I want to know how they feel under tongue and under teeth, what the delicious hot sticky skin tastes like. I like tendons, ligaments, the lovely nervous hands with their stringy sinews and knobbly knuckles and fat veins. I like body hair and the variegation of it. I like fluids and mess and wet patches. I like reading awkward sex, and bad sex, and sex that makes your back hurt. I like people getting accidently kneed in the knackers or knocked out of bed. I want people who retch during blowjobs, who shudder at the texture of precome, who swallow not because it's sexy but because holding semen in your mouth long enough to spit is just too gross. The smells of it; bleachy come and the way the reek of sweat gathers and darkens in the creases of the body. I like random acts of intimacy, things that aren't necessarily sexual but are sexy: invasion of personal space, touching the gap of skin between ear and sideburn or hair and collar, sharing drinks and cigarettes and cannabis blowback. Smoking in general! Fucking rather than lovemaking. People in love fucking. Canonically uptight or private characters getting their sex on. Seriously, I could go on forever here.
