Guilty Pleasure
Seeing as how I have lost what was left of my indie cred at the Husky Crawl last week, I thought I would post about my latest "Guilty Pleasure".
Lately, I have been listening ot Bodyrockers - The Way You Move. This whole track is wholly unoriginal in many ways. First of all, the lyrics sound like they were written by a 6th grader about his first crush.

Also, the singer reminds me of Günther, who I find very disturbing.
But most of all, the main reason this is a guilty pleasure and really just a horrible song is that the whole melody is a direct rip-off of "He's A Dream" by Shandi Sinnamon, also known as the theme from Flashdance. I like "He's a Dream"; I think it's a great song. Bodyrockers simply copied it without giving credit.
I also listened to other tracks from the album and realized that most of the melodies are variations on this one single.
But although this song is wholly unoriginal, it is well executed and catchy as hell, so I'm just can't keep myself from listening to it. This is why this is my guilty pleasure.
