'FlashForward' really bugs me as a title and I don't know why.

Apparently FlashForward is starting tonight on Five (hurrah for UK telly not being a million years behind the US for once!) but I already saw the first episode via the magic of the internet. And I thought it was awesome! I didn't realise it, but apparently I'm SO READY for another sci-fi mindfuck a la Lost.

Thoughts! )

*tv makes me happy

I thought I wasn't going to like it, but then parcae and I caught the repeat of the premiere before Dollhouse last Friday, and it was unexpectedly awesome! I just hope it doesn't get all lame like Lost did.

I'm kind of expecting it to get lame like Lost (which I still watch, because I'm invested now and have to see it through to the bitter end) but I think they could have at least one really great season.

Ooh, right yes - I hadn't heard about this until today, but I'm definitely going to watch it. It's about time I had a new show to get into!

I haven't read all of your post, as it looked like there might be vague spoilers, so I'll come back and read it later.

I'm tentatively looking forward to it...

Sorry, yes, I should have warned for spoilers! I hope you like the show; I think it has a lot of potential.

S'alright! Turns out I don't actually have channel 5 anyway! So, no Flash Forward for me *sigh* Though I think that True Blood starts next week so hopefully I'll be able to watch that!

Oh, lame! Although there are always, um, other sources for that kind of thing. ;)

Defin has a lot of potential, but what bugs me is that it seems like a self fulfilling prophecy...I mean how much of what is about to happen wouldn't have happened had they not seen the future? (ie would Olivia leave Mark had she not seen it??)

Time travel etc hurts my head :(

But as above, I hope this doesn't turn into another Lost (loved season one but downhill from there for me)

Oh man, time travel hurts my head too. I don't mind so much if things turn out to be self-fulfilling prophecies, but it'll annoy me if people manage to *change* their futures. (Although, what if you saw something really horrible, like yourself getting raped or murdered or something? Wouldn't you do everything in your power not to be in the same place?)

... it's giving me a headache already.
