So, for those of whom knew of my situation, i was recently working at both Papa John's and Harbor Freight Tools. i have only worked for harbor freight for one month, about and i got fired today. what's the reason? i wasn't enthousiastic enough. i was displaying signs of lethargy such as hands in the pockets. this is all they claimed to have against me. but wait, what's that i hear my memory screaming at me? i loved this job! i really enjoyed helping the customers find things and got countless complements from them about how helpful and time-saving i was for them. so what if the supervisors (namely javier) displayed signs of dislike for me? i made whichever customer i came in contact with feel welcome and appreciated. and with the customers i actually did help out, i made their visit frustration free and pleasant. what's that about the customer being teh boss? that's not true, at least not in this company. have they received complaints about me? i've not heard of one. the only complaint i ever heard about my job performance was Javier, once saying this: "we gotta stop this (making the hands in the pockets motion) the hands in the pockets." that's it. but wait a minute for those who have actually ventured into Harbor Freight Tools, don't you recall the frigidness of the temperature in the warehouse? i swear, it must be on average 60 degrees all the time. i never had any gloves, my hands were cold and so in between walking from the store area to the back room to find things, i think it's natural for the hands to venture into the pockets. i always wore two tee shirts layered along with long pants and a back brace and i was still freezing. and for those who know me, i don't get cold that easily, on the contrary, i have a tendency to be hot, more than to be cold.

this, as of yesterday, was the best job i have ever had. i left each day tired with feelings of satisfaction knowing i tryed my hardest to make the customers feel at home and as if we cared about them. i got paid $8.50 an hour, with 25 hours a week, as requested, with every other day off. and a paycheck hand-delivered, every week on friday, at around 11am. there was just enough physical activity to keep my working my muscles and yet it was lax enough to not exhaust me prematurely.
