Well, that didn't work that great.
Anyway, we checked out the last venue on our list tonight. We shot off an e-mail to our number one choice. Our rough math brought it to a bit more expensive than we were hoping, but knowing well enough ahead of time lets us save up more. Well... once wedding season kicks in again. Until then, I'm stuck trying to get Steph back for rent.
The amount that I get paid per wedding may go up this year as opposed to last season's weddings; depending on how much it is, I may be able to do the wedding editing "full time", as it were; as it is, there's no way I can do GameXChange five days a week and still have any time to do anything with my expanded income. I've gotta do some rough math based on how many weddings I'd do at what rate, but if it gets close to what I made last year (or would have made if I'd worked all twelve months), I may keep with just that. We'll see.
That said, I'm really looking forward to next season's weddings. They'll be stepping things up in production values on the day of as well, so the footage should be of even higher quality and thus even more fun to work with. My last wedding got praise from them; with more materials, I can do even better. Of course, it takes longer... leading me back to the discussion on the previous paragraph. Ah well. We'll see how it goes when the season rolls around.
