fuuuuu why do i do this
Christmas went great. I brought the MacBook and use it instead of my phone, so I didn't need to charge said phone a ton of times. Satuday we played some Star Wars Battleship and some Syracuse Orangemen Monopoly. Man, that is a cheaply made set. One of the spaces on it is something like Bird Avenue; when we kept landing on it and it proved popular, Steph started referencing a certain ornithological piece.
Fast forward to us opening presents.
Steph, Jen, and I all got matching Angry Birds shirts from Mom, who had watched us paly it on our phones many times. It also unwittingly fit in because of the "Bird is the Word" caption, so that was pretty funny :D
My Bioware Store stuff came in as well, so I've got a couple of Normandy models on my desk right now.
Christmas day, it was time to celebrate with my family. After a morning with Grandma Myers and Aunt Paula, we were at Jamie and Rachel's place this year instead of Grandma's, it was a nice change of pace. In short order, there was a potato cannon, the traditional basketball games (no ice on the court but some really slippery mud, Jamie took a hard spill and Uncle Eric took a softer one right behind him), and War of the Worlds (newer version) with essentially no sound (loud family and we decided it'd be better without the dialogue). I'd like to say I won three out of four basketball games, but while I did score a couple of times and had a few good passes, it might be more accurate to say that I was on three out of four winning teams.
