Yesterday, I edited three sequences for the feature of the wedding I'm working on. A beautiful lakeside sunset photo shoot was edited to Iz's "Wonderful World" (damn you soaring strings, making me cry), which is a very strong edit in my opinion, and the reception was edited to "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas, which was a very fun one to work on. To top it off, I also edited the dinner hour and cake cutting to... "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. Wow.
I'm pretty optimistic about continued work after the internship's done. However, it'd probably be subcontracted work, which means I'd need my own editing setup, which means getting a Mac at home. *watches camera and various PC components slip further away*
Still, once the printer is moved, my L-shaped desk works pretty nice for two computers. Oh, I've also gotta shove my PC tower somewhere, and somewhere for the Mac tower if I get such a desktop. Eh, we'll make it work. On the plus side, that'd also let me justify a second monitor; I can have one input going to the PC, and one to the Mac. Just gotta ensure that it's got dual DVI ports.
But, first thing's first. Make sure I actually have the work to justify this expense first.
