Well that was nice. Yesterday I had a customer call me a ton of times asking about PS1 games; I was going to bring them down to Queensbury, the store closest to him, so he could pick them up there. I want to say he called five times asking about different games (game show games, board games, fishing games, WCW Mayhem). He was polite the whole time, not the bother he thought he was, and the fact that he was actually going to buy them - instead of just asking if we have it then hanging up - improved my perception of him too. He was such a pleasure to wor with that when I brought them down to the QBY store, I called him from there personally to let him know they were there waiting for him.
As I opened up this morning, the phone rang, and I saw his number. I dreaded the possibility that a game wasn't working or some other such horror, but he actually called to thank me for al of my help and to tell me that he also got a controller while he was down there.
Sure, maybe the sale went to QBY and not to the Wilton store I'm at, and everything he got came to maybe thirty bucks, but it's really gratifying for a customer to go out of their way like that to show how appreciative they are of your work.
