Steph's parents came to visit this weekend. They came up Friday night; I had been helping Web playtest Top Predator again then came back after one (really long) game. Nelson got in shortly after I did. The girls came back with groceries shortly after, then their parents around 8:15. I took the opportunity as an excuse to finally get the UCF: AM posters in frames.

Baked ziti for dinner then just hanging around talking for a long time. Near 11:00 I got tired and started to go to bed, then saw an empty glass on my computer desk, brought it down, and changed my mind, hanging out for another hour or so.

Worked on Saturday; we had a nice big Call of Duty Black Ops tournament, 18 teams signed up. It went really smoothly, we had a great setup just outside the store that let me help the regular customers, and turnaround time on the games was really fast too. By the time I left at 5, it was almost over (Tom didn't believe me that 3 rounds of round robin followed by the brackets wouldn't fit in 4 hours; when I left 4 hours after it started, they'd taken out a RR round and were about 8 games from the end.)

Got back home and watched some Food Network stuff; my favorite was the Demolition Derby Cake Food Network Challenge. Around 7 we went to dinner at Golden Corral. On the way, we passed a couple of lifted Jeeps. The one in front was only "mildly" lifted, a couple of feet max. The one behind it though... four foot diameter tires I think, ridiculously high, you could see the weight shift between the front and rear suspension as it changed gears. The best part was its license plate: F ROADS. How that got past the inspector, I'll never know.

After dinner we came back and watched a few things off Netflix: Grown Ups (which Steph had already watched before bed one night so I caught some of it; not a huge Adam Sandler fan but, awkward moments in the first half of the movie aside, I did enjoy it) and two Comedy Central Roasts, William Shatner and Bob Saget. George Takei had me in stitches...

The next morning, I decided against playing in the Halo Reach tournament at work; I could do with one day in 12 not heading down to Saratoga, and I knew I wouldn't win anyways. We played Scattergories; after a beak for dinner, we resumed, though Steph and Scott went up to play more Dragon Age. Final score for us: Dee obliterated us with 122 points, while Joann came in second with 90, Joanna with 86, and Nelson and I tied with 84. Close rush for second!

Everyone ended up leaving around 2, 3:00. I went back up to finish Puzzle Quest (after swapping some items around, forging something, and buying some stuff, I finally managed to do so, w00t!) and played some Mirror's Edge, trying to find more of the bags. Stupid things, can't track them all down yet. I want to hit a few more levels on my own before hitting up my strategy guide. Then dinner, watched Mulan, then upstairs to watch Trigun then bed.

In all, a fun weekend. Now to get back to work on the second draft of Burnout (Rollcage's new working title, I'll try it on for a week and see how it feels).
