Last night, I told Steph that I was stressing over AM post-production; without money to wave in front of peoples' faces, audio and VFX are understandably taking a back seat to paying jobs. Stuff is getting into me way later than I originally wanted it, and now we're less than a month away from premiere. I told her that I was worried things wouldn't come in on time, and decided while doing so that I'd just take what they got me by next week and call it final for the premiere. Anything that's not finished will make it to the DVD. Still, it made me feel somewhat dejected that I couldn't get these things in from people.

Vapes cheered me up today, I think without realizing that I needed it.

Vapes: Just for the record, in case no one's told you
Vapes: You're really kick-ass as this VFX supervisor thing

So, that was reassuring to "hear".

Finished Avatar Sunday. Really, really enjoyed it; my biggest complain was passing around the Conflict Ball (which at the time I referred to as "acting against type", when a previously resolved relationship issue comes forth again or a specific detail of a character is Flanderized for the sake of getting good conflict in an episode) in the third season, but even then most of the time it keeps to the first half of the ep, and the rest in enjoyable. Won't go more detailed, but... well, as you might be able to tell from the lingo, I've been gorging on the TVTropes entry for it for the past two days and am not completely done yet.
