"I got the ways and means...to New Orleans..."
A quick update:
A lot going on these days. Life at the fruit-themed technology company remains as crazy, chaotic, and ultimately satisfying as ever.
In mid July, I'm being flown to the US Virgin Islands to photograph a big charity event. This is exciting. This is terrifying. This is as close as I will ever come to voluntarily buying capri pants.
In less than a month, I officially wave goodbye to my twenties. And yes, yes..."thirty is the new twenty." That's all well and good, but I'm suspending my enthusiasm for the day when someone tells me that thirty is the new TEN. I'm pretty sure there's a 3-speed bike with handlebar streamers still waiting patiently for my return.
In the biggest news of all, as of August 1st, I will no longer qualify for the Disney Resident Discount. Tuney has been accepted to the Biomedical Graduate Program at Tulane and - provided he promises to spare me the fluffy bunny-oriented details - I'm along for the ride.
I have spent 11 years in South Florida. That's a pretty significant chunk of life, and its coming extraction will leave one hell of a dent. For my daily friends and coworkers - I will miss you. For those of you whom I never see - well, I'll miss the knowledge of your nearness. I will miss some of you most of all.
But it's time.
