First off, because
foxfirebug told me to:
You are Nate, prodigal son of the Fisher family.
You struck out on your own, moving to Seattle
to get away from the family business. Then, on
your flight back home for Christmas, you screw
a woman who will later become your fiancee and
then find out your dad got killed in a bus
crash. You're wild, innovative and quirky. Oh,
and you have a brain disorder that might kill
you.
Which Six Feet Under Character Are You? brought to you by
Quizilla Yeah, that was a little easy to rig to a specific character, but I did my best not to. :) Oh, I watched the end of the 4th season last night. Lord, can this show get any better? Really? I want to watch it over and over again... and I don't want to wait until March for the last season to come out!
Next, while reading my book at work tonight, I came across this passage which nearly made me laugh out loud (which would have been bad in the middle of a show).
marycorleone and
tangentgirlnat must read it, but also anyone who knows the Jossverse or appreciates it.
This is from a book called Julie and Julia, by Julie Powell, which I highly recommend to anyone. Very funny. She's big on Joss and Buffy, but I didn't see this one coming.
Julie (the main character, as it's based off of the author's blog) is talking about seeing plays for free when she was an intern at a non-profit theater organization.
... Nine times out of ten the plays were crap, but I look back on them with fondness, and sometimes even glean advantage from them, as in: "Oh my God! That red-headed guy from the prematurely canceled Joss Whedon outer space-western series was in that godawful thing we saw at the Belasco with Kristen Chenoweth that was open for about a week and a half!"...
Alan!! Yes, I know.
Anyway, work is going well. The show is short, so we have a huge break between shows on two show days. This could be bad for me. I went shopping today. I needed to find a frame for B. and S.'s school pictures. I found one, a perfect one... and they were sold out. Sigh. I'm gonna look online. Then I went to Old Navy because I was looking for socks. (I've been on a quest for brown socks. You'd think, in a city like New York, someone would sell them. Not so much.) Yeah, that wasn't a good idea. I ended up spending way too much money and didn't even get any socks. But I do love all of the new pants I got... and shirts and pjs... and I did just get paid on Friday. And I didn't even spend all of my paycheck, not even half I think. :) Then I headed over to Barnes and Noble. I was good there though, only bought a crossword puzzle magazine.
It appears that my Patriots are going to lose tonight. It's sad. But hey, for how they looked at the beginning of the season and the number of injuries they had this season, the fact that they were in the post-season at all is pretty impressive.
