Updates from the midwest
So this is the message that Ashley left me..."You left your Fendi, Louis, Gucci, and Prada purses, totes, shoes, and sunglasses in my apartment. Just thought I would let you know, but I am sure you already bought replacements... AHHHAhahaha love it"
Just to make fun of me, because EVERYONE I work with wears labels. The real shit, the expensive crap that I never would want to waste my money on. All the guys wear Polo shirts...
They have the expensive cars, the rich parents, the trendy clothes, the sunglasses, the purses...these are the people that I am surrounded by...
One of the guys said that his car had never seen rain or snow for two years. Apparently he has a summer car and a winter car, but has a garage at school that he keeps his car at to keep it clean. He had it shipped up from wherever he lives and all that fun stuff.
So that's the "fashion" aspect of the midwest, at least at work.
Then...Tornado warnings... I had noticed all these Tornado shelter signs around work but didn't think much of it...until the alarms went off yesterday and they announced that there was a tornado warning and for everyone to calmly make their way to the nearest shelter. Craziness...so this is what life in the midwest is like. Anyway, at the end of it the woman came over the announcement to say, "The danger has passed."
Now I have to go to work...
