awesomeness

WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!! Not that I ever had any doubts we'd beat San Diego, but still, it's pretty cool that this little run could end with an undefeated season and a fourth Lombardi Trophy. It all seems so surreal. Friday was the six-year anniversary of the Snow Bowl Game, which in hindsight really set this whole run in motion. Who knows what happens if Charles Woodson gets credit for a fumble on that play? SpyGate can officially be put to rest. It'd be nice if some of these idiots out there would stop making excuses for the Patriots' wins. Chargers fans apparently showed up with shirts to the Blade yesterday saying "17-1, It was a nice season." LOL

On to face the G-Men. I'd love some revenge served cold against Eli fucking Manning for that win over UF in the Swamp. Too bad we didn't get to go through both Mannings on our way through the playoffs, but I'll take it, whatever. Now, we get BOSTON-NEW YORK again. Time to continue to show that city who wins championships now. On a related note, I watched the Rangers-B's game at the Pats bar before kickoff. We beat the Rangers, but it seemed like nobody cared. When my boy Kessel scored to make it 3-0 I think I was the only one who cheered. Come on people, the Bruins need love too. Just because they're not exactly performing at Celtics-Patriots-Red Sox level doesn't mean they're not an exciting team to watch. If the season ended today, they'd actually make the playoffs ... and it's kind of exciting they're doing it without Bergeron.

Anyway, it finally snowed up here last week. It was very pretty, but it had stopped by the time I got out of work. We got about 2-3 inches. And yesterday while on my way to the Pats Party at Union Station, it was 9 degrees! NINE DEGREES. I haven't seen single digit temperatures since I lived in St. Louis. The excitement sort of wore off when I couldn't even hold my phone to my ear because it was frozen, and breathing in hurt too much so I just tried to stop breathing all together. Ugh, I think it's safe to say that I miss Florida.
