It is with heavy heart that I regret to inform you all that Lainey is no longer with us. I will spare you the details as it hurts to recall them, but, know she lived a great 11 years on this earth and had a family, and two boys that loved her very much.
I stayed with her until the very end, and, as if she was telling me it was okay, she let out one final snort/snore as a parting gesture.
Thank you all for the love and laughs you shared with me and Lainey over the years, she was insanely popular on the internet...way more than I ever expected. People I never met in person knew who Lainey was just upon mention of her name. I never had to say "my dog Lainey", I just said Lainey and people knew here on LJ, Myspace, Facebook, and just about anywhere else you can imagine.
Loyal to the very end, she will be missed. She was my little girl and I know there will never be another like her. Again, thank you all for the love and laughs over the years. It gives me a good feeling to know she touched your life in some capacity.
