IT KICKS ASS!
Everyday the liberal media tries to undermind the war effort. All we ever hear is that our brave men and women are dieing in a terrible fashion. It's too bad this might be the most successful war ever. The kill count in combat is 50:1......USA. That means that on average, the couragous fallen soldier aided to kill 50 insurgens fighting against democracy. If you include causualties caused by terrorist attacks in Iraq on Americans the number is 30:1. Oh and by the way, in the past year, there was a higher murder rate in Chicago than in Iraq.
Moving away from the numbers, its plain and simple, military actions might be the coolest things on the planet. The best example of this is 24 on FOX. Holy shit, alright the terrorists abducted the secretary of state and his daughter. The hero Jack Bauerisn't going to take their shit. A special-ops trained field officer is not someone to fuck with. Oh, and he is in love with the secretary of state's daugher. Anyways, the terrorists are going to execute the secretary of state during a webcast on the internet. The president orders a strike after Jack finds out where the terrorist scumbags are. However, the Marines won't get there in time, so the President decides to drop a bomb on the terrorists. With ten minutes left Jack rushes in and takes out the terrorists. He gives a knife to his woman, and she tells him to go get her dad. Realizing Jack is inside and can save the day, the President calls off the air strike. Jack Bauer almost escapes with the secretary of state (who is this super cool old dude who shoots incredibly well), but they run out of ammo. Just then the Marines come in helicopters and shoot the shit out of the rest of the terrorists. But wait, the terrorist leader dude of this operation has a gun to Jack's woman's head. The woman does something right, besides sex and cooking, and stabs the terrorist in the leg, he backs off and is about to shoot her as Jack throws a knife into the terrorist guy's heart. Damn, I was proud to be an American.
Even if you don't like war, we are in one. The men and women fighting anywhere for our country are really just like you and me. Most of them would want to be with their families, but they understand their duty to the nation. I can't believe how quickly many Americans have lost the will to fight the war on terror. I can remember going to a Ravens game a few months after 9/11. The president had announced war on the Taliban in Afghanistan during the game. At halftime the President's speech was displayed on the gigantic screen to the cheer of almost 60,000. What happened? To not support our troops is like spitting on the country we love.
P.S. Iraq - al-Qaeda connection:
The 3/11 attacks in Spain were intended by the terrorist group al-Qaeda to influence their election, and they did. The terrorist group later claimed responsibility and said that they attacked Spain because they were fighting against Sadam's Regime in Iraq. Seems like they were a little more than friends...
P.P.S. Expected Iraqi voter turnout: 80%, signifcantly higher than ours.
P.P.P.S. The Democratic candidate John Kerry supported the war.......he switched too. Watch all of Kerry's Iraq possitions:
