there's no such thing as scotchtoberfest

On the weekend,
glockgal and
21freckles and I went to the BC Highland Games & Scottish Festival! It was a lot of fun, I got to try haggis pie (tasty, like sausage with extra liver, but I think I might like it better in a more traditional form), and we saw sheepdogs and dancing and lots and lots of bagpipers. I love bagpipes and bagpipers, so this was a Very Good Thing. *g*

Now, for my

First of all, I'm pretty easygoing and like a lot of different styles and genres, so don't stress over that. My major, MAJOR request is: please try not to include any *isms (racism, sexism, ableism, homo/transphobia, etc.) in the story, unless that's what the story's about. This hasn't been a problem in the past, and I'll be happy if it remains that way!

Now, specifics:

- Buffyverse: Buffy/Faith, Merlin: Gwen/Morgana
I liked both of these relationships in their respective series; mostly, I like the affection and the complexity, how there's no clear heroine/villain or important character/secondary character dynamics.

- Avatar: The Last Airbender: Katara/Toph, Joo Dee/Joo Dee
Nothing hardcore with Katara/Toph, please! With Joo Dee/Joo Dee, GO WILD.
Uh, I have nothing specific to say regarding this request, really, I just kind of vaguely enjoy the idea of the pairings. Do whatever you like. *g*

- The Simpsons: Marge/Manjula, Patty/Krabappel, girl!Nahasapeemapetilon/Ling Bouvier (grown, of course)
Same here! Although I will warn you: this is a fandom where I'm a wee bit more set in my ideas of characterization, so if that worries you, feel free to write Uma or Pria or Sashi and Ling, because there's a lot of room there, heh.

- X-Men Comics: Ororo/Jean, Ororo/Rogue, Jean/Lorna, Psylocke/Revanche
There's a theme here of semi-clones and the like getting it on. *g*
All of these ladies have such deep and varied relationships with each other, and I'd love to see that explored. Gen or explicit and anything in-between! Also I am an old lady and don't really know much of what happened beyond like Uncanny #300, if that matters.

If you choose to go movieverse, please make Ororo more fierce and kickass than Halle Berry did!

Overall, I like character stuff, dialogue, food, AUs, crossovers, and ensembles (or just mentions of community/other people). I'm not into demonization of other characters, schmoop, or martyrs.

If there's anything else you'd like to know or anything you'd like clarified, please feel free to comment anonymously! And I really urge you not to stress about this story; my tastes encompass a lot, and I like short stories, so there's nothing to worry about there. Have fun!
