remix: authors revealed
Remix authors are now revealed! I just got back from a staycation that did not have the level of wireless access that I thought it would, so it's a few days late, but what the hey.
. down he came (the like i love you mix) by musicboxgirl: I can barely even believe how incredible this story is. In the vein of the "switched-up POV" remix, it hits exactly the right notes: it's a gorgeous, textured, heartlessly vivid fic on its own, and an incredibly well-crafted match to the original. I tend to write in a really ruptured and half-articulated way, and musicboxgirl took my tight-mouthed Chris and wrote an expansively-open-yet-laser-focused Justin to match him. There's so many levels and such brill characterization, and I love it so much. I seriously lucked out in the two remix challenges I've been part of this year!
. blood and chocolate (the eat you alive mix) totally got pegged as mine by a bunch of people, ahahahah! I'm glad that this particular inane mix of constant food talk, people being emotionally stunted, and unexplained magical realism shit has become my hallmark. *g*
