I had to supervise a certain Miss Hurst in her detention yesterday. Professor McGonagall requested that she serve it under my eye but did not specify what the detention was to be. I racked my brains for something to make her do and in the end I decided that she could be put to good use helping with making badges and knitting hats. I kept her at it

I assume that the point of them is for young girls to be hysterical over certain individuals. Why Ron and Mortale have them and not Theo I have no idea

Hopefully they will. Although these girls are so shallow minded that it is doubtful.

So basically they want to appear pathetic and idiotic.

Perhaps they will eventually develop some sense of self conscious, hence becomimg aware of how silly they look and so they will stop what they are doing.
