Trick the First: Probably a Waste of Time Not to Edit
I just finished editing a piece and am glad that I let it sit. The last time I worked on this story was a few weeks ago and I was able to hack away MANY problems and smooth out many problems with the language. Having a successful patch of writing/editing like this makes me think that I am not meant to be one of those writers who does not belabor the editing of his work.
