School!
Anthony got into Bailey's, a magnet school for arts and technology. He would be eligible to start the Spanish immersion program in 1st grade (he is entering Kindergarten next year).
This is fantastic news. TWO of my neighborhood friends have kids who go there, so if the county doesn't offer busing (busing for the magnet schools is on the table, along with other budget cuts), we could do a carpool.
And the local school is also very good, though the kindergarten is half day and they don't have Language immersion. They DO have an in school gifted program so we may decided to return to the base school if Anthony is classified as gifted, but that isn't until third grade.
Anthony going there means that it will be very likely that Liam will get in too.
